Chalkboard Candles were sparked from an idea I had to make eco-friendly, quality candles with a purpose.  After being an elementary school teacher for over 10 years and burning hundreds of candles in our home, I decided to combine my desire to create a richly scented, natural candle with a mission to bring awareness and gratitude to the sacrifices teachers make for their students each day. 

Chalkboard Candle Co. believes more should be done to show our appreciation for teachers.  Teachers work extremely long hours, put their heart and souls into educating their students, and make a substantial impact on so many young people while being underpaid, undervalued, and under-appreciated.
