It all started in 2012 when Valerie McKeehan drew a chalkboard sign to make her kitchen feel more cozy. It was then she discovered a love for lettering and illustration. Inspired by nostalgia, the beauty of ordinary life, and nature, she draws every Lily & Val product by hand out of her home studio in Pittsburgh, PA. Johnson Creek, WI and you guessed it, we live on a farm.
When we aren't working our full time day jobs we are taking care of our beef cattle, chickens, cats and dogs. In the spring & fall we are out in the fields planting and harvesting.
We are all about raising our own meat, eggs, and fruits & vegetables.
We currently sell beef & farm fresh eggs.
I decided to start my own artisan brand because I love candles and lip balm & so many other products! I knew I had to make them myself so I could use the best ingredients to get the purest product. After many trials and errors, I finally finalized my recipes and want to share them with everyone!
My products are made in small batches + hand poured. The company I get my soy wax flakes from only uses soybeans from our hard working farmers here in the United States.
