1canoe2 is an all-women owned and run illustration company that spreads joy through cheerful, thoughtful paper goods and gifts. Each piece of artwork we create shows the hand of the artist and embodies our love of home-cooked meals, weekends spent in nature, and all things happy. In 2009, we followed a dream and bought a big antique letterpress, and 1canoe2 was born. The name represents a spirit of kinship, heartland roots, and memories of canoe trips and campfires along Missouri streams with "one canoe, two girls." Everything made in the cheerful 1canoe2 studio stems from a deep appreciation of life's natural beauty and the pursuit of curiosity. Our best-selling line of gifts and stationery features hand painted gouache artwork painted by us and has appeared in over 1000 independent boutiques around the world and select national retailers like Anthropologie and Paper Source. In addition to desktop stationery such as planners, calendars, greeting cards, birthday, anniversary, thank you and boxed card sets, we also create intentional home goods products like notepads, recipe cards, and puzzles. We partner with wonderful companies to create scrapbooking materials, quilting fabric, and much more!
