Meet Sarah- owner of Blue Anchor
Hello! I’m Sarah an Arizona based police wife, boy mom x 2 and small business owner behind Blue Anchor!
What made you start your business?
I started Blue Anchor as a way to continue to express my interests and hobbies while still being home/available to my two little boys. When starting, I never intended on elaborating on my experience as a police wife but unfortunate circumstances lead me to open up which has brought friendships/support I never thought possible. This small business has kept my mind busy on nights my LEO works 3rd shift while helping others express what matters most. I’m truly grateful I made the decision to start when I did!
What is your biggest business accomplishment so far?
My biggest accomplishment so far was being able to donate over $2500 to the family of a critically injured Phoenix Police Officer due to a thin blue line bracelet fundraiser I held. I was blown away by the outpouring of love and support from 26 U.S states and even Canada!
Tell us about a typical day in your life as a small business owner.
On nights my LEO works, I spend the day trying to keep the boys quiet so he can get some sleep. We love heading out for play dates at the park/library and will make Post Office runs as needed. When the boys go down for nap in the afternoon, I work on filling orders and creating/photographing new pieces to post on my page. After nap, we wake up dad and spend the rest of the day playing, going on walks and having dinner before starting our bedtime routine which also includes my husband getting ready for work. After the boys go to bed and my husband leaves for work, I continue to work on my small business and try to take some time for myself. I always end up going to sleep way too late and then regret it in the morning… ha
What is your favorite product to make/sell?
I love making bracelets with sentimental value. Bracelets for new additions to the family, cancer warriors, weddings, birthdays etc.
What is your best selling item?
My best selling item would be my TBL bracelets and leopard/mauve keychain wristlet!
