I'm so excited to introduce you to Sara of Organic Essentials Soapworks. I contacted her about carrying some of her products on my website, and she mentioned we could also create a custom soap for Autumn and June! WHAT?! Sold! I had so much fun and loved learning about the process. Keep reading to learn more about Sara and her business.
What made you start your business?
Hi, I'm Sara! - your Holistic Soapmaker
For half my life, I struggled with super-sensitive problematic skin, ranging from rough, dry patches to severe acne, and nothing seemed to help. As I entered my late 20s, I was beginning to reach my breaking point and knew something had to change...
I was raised to believe that quality counts with everything we put in and on our bodies, but so few beauty companies or skincare "experts" shared the same opinion, and were always looking for the next "quick fix" to help my skin.In my search for quality minimalistic skincare, my top two priorities were:
to have only the Essential ingredients needed to address my specific skin issues, and
that the ingredients be only the highest quality Organic ingredients I could find. It was then that Organic Essentials Soapworks was born! 
I fell in love with researching and developing new skincare products, and even more so with the RESULTS I was seeing!

️Graduating from balms and salves, to formulating my own traditional Cold-Process Soap recipes, I was so amazed by the ability to customize each recipe to address specific needs - not just for myself, but for others as well 
What has been your biggest business accomplishment (so far)?
In such a short time, I'm really proud of the relationships I've built through community markets, and online sales and marketing, with people I never would've met otherwise
How do you handle competition in your field/market?
In an industry full of "green-washing" terms like "all-natural," Organic Essentials Soapworks uses only the purest quality, premium Organic ingredients, Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils, and Organic Botanicals, Herbs and nutrient-rich French & Brazilian Clays to color & scent our soaps. We NEVER use synthetic ingredients, toxic chemicals, or Palm Oil in our products. We even go so far as to find truly natural alternatives to controversial ingredients such as Titanium Dioxide, ultramarines, Micah powders, and "natural" fragrance oils frequently found in other soapmakers' products.

What are 3 business goals you have for the next year?
i. Make more connections through networking

What is your best selling item?
My River Rock soaps are my best-sellers! Each one is unique, and designed to resemble real sedimentary rocks some friends and I found while hiking on a beach in Maine. These unique River Rock soaps have been described as "ultra luxurious," an "absolute favorite," and "a beautiful, functional decoration for any counter with a sink."
