Meet Naiomi- Greetings from Nai
I'm so happy to introduce you to Naiomi of Greetings from Nai. She makes beautiful cards perfect for every occasion. Keep reading to learn more about her and her business.
1. What made you start your business?
I've always been a lover of paper goods and stationery. At first, I just created greeting cards for fun. I had a lot of them so I started to give family and friends for holidays, birthday and other special occasions. After many of my friends asking if I sold these, I decided to open my small business to share my craft with a wider audience. I love my family and friends and I think it is so important to tell them that I love and appreciate them whenever I can. I know other people agree and feel the same way and greeting cards do exactly that.
2. What’s something you would like people to know about being a business owner?
Being a business owner is a lot of work because often times you are wearing many hats. However, it is one of the best jobs there is. From connecting with customers to other business owners, there is a strong sense of community that is like no other.
3. How do you handle competition in your field/market?
The best part about art is that it's subjective! While there may be other businesses creating and selling greeting cards, I can guarantee it is not the same as mine since my cards feature my art. Just like no two people are the same, in the same sense no two birthday cards are the same.
4. What are 3 business goals you have for the next year?
3 business goals I have for my business in the next year are to offer more stationery products such as notepads, continue doing custom orders and lastly, continue building my community.
5. What is your favorite product you make/sell?
My favorite product that I sell is any card from my "Just Because" collection. I think there is something so special about someone writing you a card and giving it to you for no reason other than you came across their mind. It is so heartwarming when I receive those types of cards so whenever I create one and people purchase it, I can only imagine that the recipient will have the same heartwarming feeling.
